vTiger Outgoing server Configuration

Outgoing server Configuration:
Outgoing server or SMTP server configure in vTiger to send out the emails from vTiger.

Configure:
Go to Setting from right top corner(Gear Icon), this will be found under Other settings block from left panel.

Mail Server Settings (SMTP) :
Server Name :
Use mail.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com belongs to your actual domain name.
Username : Enter the user’s email id.
Password : Enter the emails password.
From Email : Emails will be sent from specified email that you have added here, otherwise emails will be sent from current user.
Requires authentication : Checked the checkbox to enable authentication before sending the emails from vTiger CRM SMTP.

SMTP using Gmail:

Server Name: ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465

Username: your_account_name@gmail.com

Password: your_account_password

From Email: Emails will be sent from specified email that you have added here, otherwise emails will be sent from current user.

Requires Authentication: Checked to checked box

PHP ini settings for SMTP :

To enable openssl On Windows, uncomment the following line in php.ini
extension=php_openssl.dll
extension=php_imap.dll
Linux:

Yes this is a little odd. The steps involved to install this (for future users who have problems are as follows)

To enable openssl and Imap On Ubuntu :
sudo apt-get install php5-imap

sudo php5enmod imap

sudo service apache2 restart
